Best Brunch in SF

Best Brunch in SF

BRUNCH. It's my favorite meal of the week (or day?) because who doesn't like eggs on everything or practically eating dessert for breakfast? While most people look forward to the weekend as time-off from work, I look forward to the weekend because that's when most restaurants offer brunch (Props to the restaurants who offer brunch everyday. You guys are the real MVP). So here's my current list of favorite brunch spots in the city (I have zero patience for lines so I tend to go for the places that accept reservations).

Plow (Potrero Hill) - This place will forever be at the top of my list just because I love their Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. I've tried lemon ricotta pancakes at many other restaurants but have never found ones that even come close to Plow's. The Plow Potatoes that come on the side are also highly addicting. There are so many good options on their menu that you really can't go wrong. The best part is that they serve brunch EVERYDAY. The worst part is that there is ALWAYS a line regardless of when you go (well maybe not at 7am). If you go at a normal time, just be prepared to wait almost an hour or more but I promise it's worth it.

El Techo (Mission) - Brunch on a rooftop overlooking the city?? I'm there! If you like Mexican/Latin American food, this place is for you. They even have vegetarian options for almost every dish which is a huge plus in my books. The portions are large and filling so their prices are pretty reasonable if you ask me. I'm not a big drinker but they have a full bar that I heard is on point. PRO TIP: they take reservations!

Bluestem Brasserie (FiDi) - They just recently started serving brunch and I'm glad they did. They even have a menu for brunch cocktails! I went for a media event and got to taste probably half the menu. I don't think there was a single item I didn't like. For my main course, I had the Semolina Gnocchi & Eggs and it was heavenly. The cream sauce makes it really rich so you might be better off sharing it with someone. The Caramelized French Toast and Mac & Cheese are also worth trying. Bluestem takes reservations!

Hillside Supper Club (Bernal Heights) - BRIOCHE FRENCH TOAST. That's all you need to order here to achieve happiness. So worth the calories. They also take reservations!
